Marilyn Monroe in Niagara
Planning ahead for Spring and Summer, I thought I’d write a little post on some of my favourite and most inspiring iconic films, and some very stylish women. I recently watched Niagara, an early Marilyn Monroe film, from 1953.
How gorgeous is this little number?

This pattern comes close, I love the slightly flared skirt, just needs a rounded hem and collar on the jacket, and an extra button.
I love it! One day I’ll make a suit, maybe something like that one. On my casual separates quest, this ensemble stands out too:

Gorgeous! The classic pencil skirt and statement jacket. I have this really simple skirt pattern, I have managed to fit one skirt in just over one meter of fabric, so quite a stylish and economical project for those remnants you love and don’t know what to do with.

I love that Marilyn Monroe suit. Especially the rounded hem. I can see you in that, in that colour too!
Yes, isn’t it fabulous. Eeek. Might have to pick your brains about jackets…
