Lovely new Love Stuck Sea Stars

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

These are my lovely new Love Stuck Sea Stars, made out of felt they are securely attached to their rock, and are in the company of small algal growths that resemble pearl topped pins.

A very sweet little pincushion!

February Kraftbomb!

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

So Luna is sound asleep, Rob is out visiting and Austin The Cat is looking for a comfy chair to settle down on, and so it’s just me and my pincushions…bliss.  We had a good day at Kraftbomb today, lots of cool crafts, a warm day and a good crowd of people made for a successful day for most vendors.  And a good coffee after a not so sound nights sleep…

Here are a few pics of my table…

Lovely new garden flower brooches.

My new Love Stuck Starfish pin cushions!

A new old bear pattern.

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Last time I was at my mums place I got to raid her sewing cupboard.  I found these great old softie patterns and a classic bear pattern – I have been looking for a classic bear pattern for ages!  A good one to adapt and experiment with, a good pattern for a bear articulated limbs has been particularly had to find.  So I’m making a pink felt bear, because I have loads of pink felt and like pink.

I discovered that my nana had made an adjustment to the pattern also, she had altered the shape of the foot, obviously for the better, quite cool to use something my nana has made her mark on.

Will post up photos as it progresses….

needle wallets

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Here are a couple of photos of some needle wallets I’ll be selling at Kraftbomb this coming weekend.  I have an old needle wallet that was my nanas, and it’s just so handy, you can store your most used needles in at and a spare safety pin or two just in case.

Sea and space themes of course…

and in the meantime the cupcakes just keep stacking up!

It’s surprising how much you can get done while baby sleeps… of course the dishes also stack up and the house could do with a vacuume…

Already on to the second and third series of cakes, including a new mini cupcake…

Got a light?

I made this wee match box last year, inspired by some work I was doing at the Art Gallery… so here are some photos. Excatly to scale, and made from felt just for fun, it took ages!

my little bear

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Have been looking out for a good pattern for a wee bear for ages… and as nothing I had found took my fancy, here’s one based on a couple of bears I made when I was a little’un. Just a bit of an experiment for a bigger project.

A rough begining…

Nearly there..
